Momi on Kass TV
Our CEO on Kass TV: Momi Foundation's work in Kapsowar

In September 2023, our CEO went live on Kass TV to share what Momi Foundation had been doing in Marakwet over the previous three months, and why it matters for young people in Kapsowar and beyond.

What we talked about
The interview covered the work our team and partners had been building, season after season:
- Youth talent, finding young people with ability, on the pitch and off it, and backing them.
- Sporting events, tournaments that bring whole communities out, like the first and second MOMI football tournaments.
- The launch of Kipkunur FC, a home club for young footballers in the ward.
- Technology, getting desktop computers into schools and opening doors to digital skills.
- Scholarships, paying school fees so that bright students stay in school, as we did for students from Kapchesewes Children's Home.
- Stability, how a stable community gives young people the room to grow.

About Kipkunur FC
Kipkunur FC is a home club for young footballers in the ward, and backing it is part of our Youth & Sports programme. That support covers the things a young club struggles to afford on its own: kits, transport to matches, coaching and facilities. A club gives players more than games, it gives them a team, a routine and role models to look up to.
Why media matters for a grassroots foundation
Going on air lets families across Marakwet hear about opportunities they might otherwise miss, a tournament, a scholarship, a computer class. It also lets partners see the work for themselves.
