Momi Foundation began in Kapsowar in 2019 as a community response: a small group asking what it would take to give the next generation a real chance. Today we serve communities across Elgeyo-Marakwet.
Our story
What started as informal sports days for local youth and quiet study circles for students grew, year by year, into a grassroots foundation working across three pillars: youth and sports, education and technology, and climate-smart agriculture.
Since 2022 we have taken young musicians into the studio, run the MOMI football tournament ward by ward across Marakwet West, paid school fees straight to schools, handed over computers for classrooms, and backed Kipkunur FC.
Where we're heading: climate-smart beekeeping that protects the forest and creates income for young people and families. Our apiary already has more than 30 hives across sites in Elgeyo-Marakwet, every one on record, and we document our work with dated photos and receipts in our stories.
