School fees for the best students of the Momi tournament
At the first MOMI football tournament we promised school fees to the best, most disciplined and most needy students. On 27 January 2023 two students received KSh 6,000 each.

When the first MOMI football tournament kicked off over the 2022 holidays, we made the players a promise: the best, most disciplined and most needy students would have their school fees paid. Football was the reason they came together, but school is what changes their future.
The promise, fulfilled
On 27 January 2023, three weeks after the final, we paid KSh 6,000 in school fees for each of two students:
- Cheles Mixed Day Secondary School: KSh 6,000, deposited at Equity Bank, Kapsowar sub-branch
- Kaptabuk Mixed Day School: KSh 6,000, paid through KCB Mtaani, Kapsowar

The students' names, account numbers and the depositor's signature are hidden to protect their privacy.
How the students were chosen
The promise was made to all the players at the start: school fees would go to the students who stood out as the best, the most disciplined and the most needy. Talent mattered, but so did character and need, the aim was to reward the players who showed what the tournament stands for, and to help those who would struggle most to stay in school without it.
Paid straight to the school
The fees were paid directly into each school's account, not handed out in cash. That way every shilling goes where it is meant to, and the receipts show exactly where and when. Both payments were made in Kapsowar on the same day, 27 January 2023.
More than a game
The tournament brought young people together for football, but also for something bigger: discipline, teamwork, and a reason to stay in school.
